img_4395After binge travelling for two years, I realize that the experience is definitely worth sharing. Over just the past 3 years, I have travelled across almost 20 countries. And every destination has its own story. Evenry place I have visited has been accompanied by a set of new friends and new lessons to be learned. Yes, there have been ups and downs, but that’s what makes it all so interesting, doesn’t it?

But first, let me introduce myself…

Almost 20 countries in the past 3 years, with every destination I had a story, I met a friend and I learned a lesson to share.

I was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. It is one of the most populated cities in the world with around 7.75 million people squeezing into 175 square miles. I grew up, cherishing the idea of, one day, exploring the world beyond Cairo’s borders, moving all over the word and discovering new lands.

A little after graduation, I found my way to San Diego, fell in love with the gorgeous city, decided to find a balance in my life with a little settling down and a little travelling, both claiming my attention.

The inspiration for the site

It was after years of travelling that I finally met that special person who inspired me to share my travel experiences and start this page to connect others like me.  These pages are not just my personal dairy- of- sorts. My goal is to create a community of travellers, raring to share their stories and the lessons they have learned with others, through a story, a picture or simply by sharing a tip.

I took this shot in Cairo as I was informed that this is a typical Egyptian style move. Who needs a U-haul?

I firmly believe that every journey counts. That’s why I invite every traveller to join our community and share your experiences here. Ultimately, I want to be able to take viewers to any place of their choice through the experience of one another.

I hope you enjoy the “Little Travels” we share with you. Looking forward to hear about yours as well.
